Wentworth Miller is a Golden Globe-nominated actor, who played Paul Adams in the Ghost Whisperer season 1 episode Pilot.
Biography[]
Wentworth Earl Miller III was born in 1972 in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire to American parents.[1][2] He has two sisters, Leigh and Gillian.[3]
His father, a Rhodes Scholar, had been studying in Britain at the time of Wentworth's birth, but the family relocated to Brooklyn, New York soon when Wentworth was a year old.[4]
Wentworth is biracial; his father is of African-American, Jamaican, German and English descent, and his mother of Russian, Dutch, French, Syrian and Lebanese descent.[5] Wentworth has described being of mixed race like existing "between two communities".[6]
In 1995, at age 23, he earned a bachelor's degree in English literature from Princeton, and soon relocated to Los Angeles to pursue acting.[2]
In an open letter published by GLAAD in 2013, Wentworth addressed his sexuality publically, revealing himself as gay, and declining to attend a film festival in Russia, stating that he was "deeply troubled by the current attitude toward and treatment of gay men and women by the Russian government."[2][7]
Career[]
Wentworth began his career in 1998, with guest appearances in popular television series such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer and ER. He began acting in films a few years later.
He is best known for his role as Michael Scofield in the television series Prison Break, earning nominations for a Golden Globe, and for his film role opposite Anthony Hopkins in The Human Stain.
More recently, Wentworth has transitioned into writing, writing the screenplay for the critically acclaimed Stoker under a pseudonym.

- He and Jennifer Love Hewitt have both appeared as guest stars on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, although not only in different seasons; Wentworth actually starred on the show twice, in two different roles.
- Miller was born in June 1972, the same month and year that his character Sgt. Paul Adams went missing
- Wentworth Miller who plays Sgt. Adams in this episode refers that his fathers name was Michael, as is his sons name in this episode. Miller went on to play a Michael Scofield in the show Prison Break (2005).
