Jennifer Love Hewitt is a Golden Globe-nominated actress, who played Melinda Gordon in season one to season five of Ghost Whisperer.

Biography[]

Jennifer was born in 1979 in Waco, Texas to Patricia and Herbert Hewitt, both medical professionals.[1][2] She has one brother, Todd.[3]

Her parents divorced when Jennifer was just 6 months old; she and her brother were raised by her mother.[2]

Jennifer showed a talent for singing at an early age, and when she was 10 years old, the family relocated to Los Angeles, so that she could pursue a singing and acting career.[1]

In 2005, Jennifer got engaged to one of her Ghost Whisperer co-stars, Ross McCall, but she called off their engagement in 2008.[4][5]

In 2009, Jennifer started dating another one of her Ghost Whisperer co-stars, Jamie Kennedy, but the couple split a year later.[6]

In 2013, at age 34, and while nine months pregnant with their first child, Jennifer married fellow actor Brian Hallisay, whom she'd met on the set of The Client List, in a private ceremony. Five days later, the couple's daughter Autumn James was born.[7]

Thirteen months later, the couple's son, Atticus James, was born.[8]

Career[]

Jennifer began her career in 1989 with roles in television series like Kids Incorporated and Shaky Ground. She began acting in films a year later, appearing in Munchie and Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit.

She is best known for her role as Julie James in the 1997 horror film I Know What You Did Last Summer and her role as Sarah Reeves Merrin in the television series Party of Five

For her role in the 2010 film The Client List, Jennifer was nominated for a Golden Globe.

Alongside her acting career, Jennifer has also four music albums, and has contributed to the soundtracks of several of her acting projects. She also released a book in 2010, titled The Day I Shot Cupid.
